ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF ST. LOUIS NAMES ROXIE RANDOLPH PRESIDENT

Mrs. Randolph served for more than 20 years as an engineer at Southwestern Bell (now AT&T) both in Texas and at the St. Louis headquarters and is now retired. During her career, she received the Toastmaster’s Presidency award and was selected for Who’s Who for Business and Professionals.  Mrs. Randolph also served in the prestigious post of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc (FINRA) arbitrator. FINRA is a private corporation that acts as a self-regulatory organization.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Mrs. Randolph holds both a bachelor of science and a master’s degree in mathematics from Texas Southern University.  She also completed a post-baccalaureate fellowship at Oberlin College in Ohio.  

In 2013, Mrs. Randolph became a member of Assistance League of St. Louis and became actively involved in volunteering for Operation School Bell.®   Through Operation School Bell, the largest program of many Assistance League supports, almost 10,000 school children in need received new school uniforms in 2017 alone.

Mrs. Randolph also served as chairman of this program and as vice president of Philanthropic Programs.  In 2017, she was elected as President-Elect.  

Active in the First Baptist Church of Chesterfield [FBCC], Mrs. Randolph is a deaconess, one of the leaders of the FBCC “Fine Arts” department, and lead choreographer of the Church Praise Dance Team.   

Residents of Chesterfield, MO, Mrs. Randolph and her husband Joe are parents to a daughter, Essence.

ABOUT ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF ST. LOUIS.  Assistance League of St. Louis is run by an all-volunteer group of more than 500 volunteers who contribute more than 72,000 hours annually. The organization’s mission is to identify, develop, fund and implement ongoing philanthropic programs to serve specific needs of children and adults in the St. Louis community. Volunteers manage nine programs for the benefit of various underserved populations in the St. Louis metropolitan region. Designed to empower, not enable, programs include Operation School Bell®, Operation HUG, Steps to Success, My Own Fun Stuff, Project ROSE, Assistance League Outreach, Assistance League Scholarship, Assistance League Waste Not and Assistance League Beyond the Bell.  Each program has a special focus from school uniforms to shoes and socks and from personal care items for crisis shelter clients to teddy bears for comfort.  Through their efforts, volunteers touched the lives of more than 46,000 people during 2017.  All funds raised are returned to the St. Louis community.  Assistance League of St. Louis is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau and Platinum Guide Star member.
