The Greek Kitchen in Ellisville earns accolades.

In a sea of chain and franchise restaurants up and down Manchester Road lies a hidden gem in the Ellisville Square Plaza where everything is made from scratch.

The Greek Kitchen was ranked the #1 Greek restaurant in all of St. Louis by St. Louis Restaurant News Magazine and recognized as the #1 Ellisville restaurant out of 31 by Trip Advisor.

Owners Joe Kandel and Lisa Nicholas make all of the food fresh and by hand every day. "Lisa has these amazing authentic Greek family recipes that have been so well received by our customers it is a pleasure to withness their reactions after the first few bites," said Kandel. "To see Greek people come in and enjoy our food is very high praise since most cook at home," Kandel added.

The Greek kitchen is making a name for itself with favorites like Pastitsio, fresh hummus, Saganaki, Gyro, Greek salads with fresh made dressing, and Baklava.

The Greek Kitchen has a cozy atmosphere with pictures of Greece, grape vines, and the colors of the Greek flag. Joe and Lisa will make you feel like family when you come in the door. Lisa has been seen teaching young children how to Greek dance keeping them entertained.
