Topic: How to Run Effective Team Meetings that Drive Results

A team is a group of individuals who support one another toward fulfilling a meaningful purpose and achieving important outcomes.Over the past 20 years, Dan Coughlin has observed meetings in over 125 organizations including Fortune 100, large companies, medium-sized companies, and small companies. He has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. In this fast-paced presentation he offers six suggestions, some of which are a bit radical, on how to optimize the impact of every team meeting on improving your most important desired results.
 

Dan Coughlin teaches a management approach called The Any Person Mindset. It says that any person can make a significant difference in an organization, but no one is born with the necessary traits. These are learned thinking traits. As an executive coach, he has provided more than 4,000 executive coaching sessions since 1998. As a keynote speaker, seminar leader, and strategic guide, his clients include McDonald’s, Marriott, Coca-Cola, Cisco, RE/MAX, St. Louis Cardinals, Prudential, and more than 200 other organizations. Circle of Concern has been undergoing some building improvements, and they will be making a major changein their Pantry program.  They have had a traditional pantry model for 51, years, but they are transitioning to a “Client Choice” pantry model, which allows clients to choose their own groceries.  It requires re-configuring the layout of our shelving, establishing new systems and re-training our volunteers.  

“Choice” is a best practice in the pantry world, and they are very excited about it.  They look forward to telling the community about how it addresses dietary issues related to health, culture and individual likes and dislikes.  It reduces waste and, most importantly, it’s a more dignified way for families to receive their groceries.

Ann Kullberg’s SOAR Colored Pencil Workshops will present Iris Botanical on Watercolor Paper with Instructor Jeannice Gordon taking place at the Greensfelder Recreation Complex in Ballwin, MO on October 20-21, 2018.

Jeannice Gordon, a native Texan, is a self-taught artist who began drawing for the first time at age 50 while recovering from an illness. Inspired by the beauty, complexity and peace found in nature, she delights in creating vibrant contemporary botanical art. Jeannice enjoys teaching colored pencil painting to all ages to reduce anxiety and promote wellness, healing and joy. Learn to create vibrant Contemporary Botanical art using: Watercolor paper; Faber-Castell and Prismacolor Pencils; and the Grisaille, Burnishing and unique Erasing techniques.

The City of Wildwood’s Parks and Recreation Department is presenting the first annual Wildwood Art Festival from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21. 

Unique works of art including paintings, drawings, photography, pottery, ceramics, woodworks, mixed media, fiber, leather, and jewelry from 60 different artists will be on display. Artists’ booths will be located on Main Street between Fountain Place and Eastgate Lane.

Several bands and solo artists are scheduled to play live music throughout the weekend. Performances by Dusty James and Abalone Pearl, Wildhorse Creek Band and Teddy McCready will be on Saturday; with Andy McAllister and The Wayward Mountaineers set to perform Sunday.

Food and drink vendors will be open both days next to the B&B Theater on Main Street.

Equus Rescue and Therapy is a 501(c)(3) Tax Deductible Non-Profit organization.

We rescue horses who are retired from the race track, horses in horrific conditions and kill pens on their way to slaughter. We give them a second chance at life, another chance at a career, new homes or a dignified retirement.

Equus Rescue also gives back to the community through programs serving at risk youth through our Equine Angels program and we are developing a program to honor our returning war veterans.

We believe a noble life deserves a second chance.

Our organization continues to grow and thrive due to the generous donations from our supporters and the countless hours worked by our dedicated volunteers.

Without our volunteers, it would not be possible to care for the needs of our horses. As a 100% Volunteer-based organization, our volunteers are crucial to the succes of our organization and we are grateful to each and every one of them.

MARK THIS DATE – THURSDAY, OCT. 25th!!!  Banducci McDonald’s is partnering with the St. Louis County PD for a “First Responders Fundraiser” for the 2^nd Precinct (Central) & 7^th Precinct (West County) for purchase of “Tourniquets” – one of the life saving equipment 1^st responders carry when responding to an emergency!  The fundraiser will go from 7am – 7pm.  Please come and help us help our First Responders. It could help safe a life! 

We will have Trick/Treat bags for children dressed in their Trick/Treat costumes!
